OKC wins series 4-0

The likely back-to-back MVP had his best game of the series to close out the Los Angeles Lakers in four games. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points and added eight assists to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to its second straight playoff sweep and a date in the Western Conference Finals.
With their backs against the wall, the Lakers had their best game yet. While the Thunder led virtually the entire first half and well into the third, building a lead as large as 12, the Lakers had a counter to every punch thrown by the Thunder. Even when OKC built a six-point lead in the waning minutes of the game, the Lakers responded to take a one-point lead with 40.9 seconds left.
But Chet Holmgren, who had his quietest night of the entire playoffs, muscled his way to a dunk with 32.8 seconds left to give Oklahoma City the lead. Free throws by SGA and Ajay Mitchell closed out the clinching win.
Speaking of Ajay, Mitchell yet again impressed. The second-year player had 28 points on 12-of-19 shooting and added four assists and four steals.
Early in the fourth quarter, as the Lakers were trying to build their lead, Jared McCain provided a critical spark to keep OKC within striking distance. McCain had eight fourth-quarter points.
