The Thunder are everything that’s right with sports.. they need to have the same kind of appreciation and all the accolades as if this was a monster market.”

BONUS Episode: The Elbow of Peace
From Cray:
Last week, I indulged my LeBron appreciation in the "Before it's Too Late" non-Thunder postseason viewing recommendations. Now that his Lakers are facing the Thunder in Round 2, it's officially too late. Time to take a swig from CA's Crunk Juice, otherwise known as LA Haterade.
LeBron pulled off a magical sports story in Cleveland, but his arc has always been more Hollywood than hometown. He's a proud kid from Akron, but he loves the bright lights and the big stage1. He's taken his talents to Miami and reunited with the Cavaliers, but the fitting end of his quest for greatness has been with the NBA's Yankees. And nearing retirement, The King didn't bother with a succession plan for Bronny in Cleveland; he helped him land his first supporting role in LA.

Of all the teams in the NBA, it's sweetest to watch the Oklahoma City Thunder punk the Los Angeles Lakers.
The team whose fans make photoshops of every star player they want in gold & purple, accompanied by a laughable mock trade. The team whose fans are not wrong to be so greedy, because the team gets those stars–not by being the smartest or best or even luckiest franchise, but by being The Lakers. They've never been the best positioned on paper to acquire Kareem, Kobe, Shaq, Pau, Caruso, LeBron, AD, or Luka, but the Lakers tend to get what they want.

On the court, you have to earn it. You don't get to win because you're the Lakers.
Watching OKC beat that team four times this season by an average of 29.3 points, with Shai at the helm–another star they thought they could pry away–felt pretty good. Watching another 4-0 streak would feel even better.
