3 Big Things

  • Steve-O! It will be bittersweet seeing Steven Adams in a Pelicans uniform tonight. On one hand, I’m wrecked that he’s not on the Thunder anymore, but on the other hand, I know he’s eating well in New Orleans. Adams had 11 points (5-5 FG) and 8 rebounds in the Pelicans loss to the Suns on Tuesday. Adams hasn’t quite hit his stride with the Pelicans yet, but no doubt Bazley will try to make it even more difficult for Adams tonight.
  • No Hill or Horford: Both Horford (rest) and Hill (neck) are listed as out for the Thunder again tonight, which means the Thunder will probably start Roby and Jackson again. Despite Roby’s surprisingly good start, the Thunder struggled to generate offense late in the game without Hill and Horford, which ultimately led to a loss in Orlando. The Thunder will need a bigger performance from Bazley, who only had 6 points in Tuesday’s loss.
  • Isaiah Roby: Exactly zero people expected Roby to put up 23 points (9-12 FG) and 7 rebounds in his first start, but he’s turning out to be yet another bright spot in the Thunder’s future. He’ll have another opportunity to shine tonight with Horford resting again.
