Friday Bolts: 10.18.19

The 2019-20 GM Survey is out, and Steven Adams repeats as the league’s toughest player.  Chris Paul ranked second for “best head coach someday,” and third for “best passer” and “best basketball IQ.”

The Thunder cut four players yesterday:   DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell, Abdul Gaddy, Myke Henry, and Eric Moreland.  OKC’s roster now sits at 14, plus Jawun Evans and Devon Hall signed as two-way players.  Justin Patton is the only player on the roster whose contract is not fully guaranteed for this season ($700,000 is guaranteed).

Per Maddie Lee (The Oklahoman), ticket prices for Thunder games have “plummeted” on the secondary market.  In related news, Russell Westbrook and Paul George were good for ticket prices in OKC.

Former Thunder player Kyle Singler apparently retired today. Singler last played with Spanish league club, CB Canarias.

I get the sense Darius Bazley likes Chris Paul as a teammate:

Something to think about:  The Thunder failed to register a single vote in the GM survey for “best home court.” Is it the lack of expectations or is Loud City not quite as loud?
