Twitter Reaction: KD Wins a Ring

As the dust begins to settle on Kevin Durant’s first NBA title (I always thought I’d be more excited than this), now is a good time to go back and review some of Twitter’s best reactions to the moment. Whether it be excitement, disgust or Bleacher Report doing way too much — there was something for everyone and barely anyone outside of Oakland knew how to feel about it.
Dive in.
Part of the Thunder's final pitch to Durant was "not all titles are created equal." He doesn't appear to care much about that right now.

The perception of Kevin Durant and his legacy have changed dramatically by winning a title on a team that would have won it without him. ????

It's the first weekend of colllege, and Kevin Durant is the freshman who lied about having partied in high school. pic.twitter.com/Ao0SC9OVdh

KD to his mom Wanda: "We did it. I told you when I was eight years old – we did it."
— Rachel Nichols (@Rachel__Nichols) June 13, 2017
Kevin Durant told his mom he'd join a 73 win team and and win an NBA championship when he was 8 years old. That's dope

Right now, I guarantee you there are NBA stars talking about the possibility of teaming up to beat GS. Some interesting group texts tonight.

Durant winning Finals MVP and Westbrook (probably) winning regular season MVP is pretty much the perfect metaphor for this season.
