Chet Holmgren joins Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as an All-Star for the first time
Like Jalen Williams did a season ago, Chet Holmgren has made his first Western Conference All-Star team in his third season. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was previously named a a starter (his fourth career All-Star selection) as voted on by fans, players, and media members, while Holmgren was selected as a reserve by the league's coaches.
Shai and Chet will be joined by at least one Thunder teammate in Los Angeles for the festivities, with Ajay Mitchell named to the Rising Stars tournament. The full roster of contestants in the Dunk Contest, Three-Point Shootout and Skills Challenge is yet to be announced.

It's a bummer that JDub's season has been marred by injury as he recovers from his wrist surgeries. Hopefully next year both Williams and Holmgren, both selected by OKC in the 2022 draft, will be healthy and playing at an All-Star level to open the season. And whether we finally see Isaiah Joe in the shootout or J-Will in the dunk contest, I'm nearly as excited for the battered Thunder roster to heal up and rest as I am to see them celebrated when the All-Star break arrives in a couple weeks.
