Thunder’s Rumored 2018-19 “City” Alternate Leaked on Twitter

With Nike taking over the NBA’s uniforms last year, each organization was promised a fresh “City” alternate for every new season. If a Twitter leak from today is to be believed, we now have an idea of what the Thunder’s might look like for the 2018-19 campaign.

A look at the jersey/short combo via Red Earth Inc:

As the tweet states, the design is heavily influenced by Native American culture — a move that would certainly make a lot of sense given the state’s history. Compared to last season’s “City” alternate — one that was met with mostly negative reactions from the fan base — this design is a step in the right direction. It’s very Oklahoma, which seems like a good thing, you know?

It should be noted: there has been

no

verification on this by the Thunder or the NBA, so we’ll have to wait and see if it’s legit. If the design does end up being an option for Russell Westbrook & Co. this season, it should immediately become a fan-favorite. Full support on this end.

More to come.
