View from the enemy: 48 Minutes of Hell

Pick your cliche and it fits. Back to the wall, in a hole, backed into a corner, backed into a deep hole with a corner wall. Whatever. The Thunder have to win tonight, otherwise it’s just about playing for pride. The home crowd will help, but I think Game 2 might’ve revealed a few things. Plus, I doubt Tony Parker will make every shot he attempts. At least I hope not.

This is the kind of game where you’ve got to let it all hang out. I’m all in favor of playing Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook a full 48, or at least 45. I’m in favor of making a big change, whether it be in the structure of the rotation or sub patterns or anything. You can’t leave anything behind. The Spurs are great, and are playing great. The Thunder will have their work cut out for them.

I think OKC has a terrific shot to win the game. Unless the pressure of the moment is too much, I actually think chances are good. Some seem to keep forgetting that the Thunder are really, really good. The Spurs have just been outstanding. Game 1 will carry with it regrets, Game 2 was a disaster, but Game 3 could be something in between. The Thunder are good enough to beat the Spurs. I think it’s as much as a mental hurdle as it is a physical one. And if OKC can just get a game, things might begin to turn.

Tip at 8:00 CT. Go Must Win.
