April 22nd, 2011

  • JR Smith’s mental state
  • George Karl being outcoached
  • The atmoshpere coming in Game 3
  • Rumors of Chris Anderson’s troubles in OKC

TGR 35: Thunder Fans are “Stick in the Muds” w/The BreakDown & Darnell Mayberry

January 16th, 2011

After winning a huge game on TNT against one of the best in the East, leading the Northwest Division and on pace to beat last year’s record, are we fans giving the Thunder enough credit? Maybe all the talk about the Jeff Green issues, our lack of defense, and the big gaping whole in the middle is taking away from enjoying a great season as a Thunder fan.

On this week’s episode we talk to Audley and Dave from The Breakdown who attempt to set us straight. Our first foursome on the podcast should get some laughs.

We also get some insight from Darnell Mayberry regarding Jeff Green and his possible future with the team, among many other Thunder related topics.

Finally, be sure to catch the last interview of the episode. Its only 3 minutes long but includes the world’s most knowledgeable 2 1/2 year old NBA fan.

TGR #33: A cheap triple-double?

January 2nd, 2011

Wow… this show is like a super stuffed pizza pocket. Don’t push down on it or it’ll explode, spraying scalding hot marinara sauce all over your face.

Deep Thoughts? Westbrook and Ibaka showed no class against the Hawks. Barkley is right that the Thunder don’t have a chance to get out of the first round of the playoffs. The Mavs have way more heart and passion than the Thunder and it shows in their antics on the court. If these comments are causing your heart rate to skyrocket, take a listen.

We also interview KELLY CRULL, sideline reporter for the OKC Thunder.

WARNING: Attempting to take in the full episode in one sitting may result in severe heart burn.

TGR Division Rival Series: Talking Jazz/Thunder with David Locke

September 19th, 2010

This week we start our season preview with our Division Rival series. Over the next few podcasts we will be interviewing informed personalities from each of the Thunder’s Northwest division foe’s to see how our roster stacks up against theirs. First up, the Utah Jazz.

We were lucky enough to be joined by Jazz play by play and former Sonics’ post game show host and Northwest sports radio personality David Locke, and let me say he’s a perfect example of everything we are lacking in local sports radio around these parts. He doesn’t pull any punches and shocked your TGR hosts constantly with his opinions and reveals. We discuss Durant’s efficiency, the value of stats on a bad team, Lebron’s decision, the projected top 4 in the west, Carmelo’s trade demands, and much more. Listen, subscribe, and comment.
