I would expect Scott Brooks to play his starters a bit more than the 24 minutes or under that he did in the first game. But at the same time, it’s just preseason and the team is coming off a good training camp where everyone is pretty much in shape already. The Thunder have things to iron out, but not quite like some other teams that are still trying to learn each others’ names.

i'm a few more nice post moves, made free-throws, or point-proving technicals away from ordering a perkins jersey i do believe...

Daniel Plainview 44 pts

jameshardensbeard Hahaha! I'm nominating this for post of the year!

jameshardensbeard 16 pts

Daniel Plainview as much as i appreciate that, i'm serious. ha

jameshardensbeard 16 pts

was there anyone else that was watching this game by themselves, then found themselves jumping up, clapping and screaming, only to remember it was only preseason, so you sorta sit down really slow and hope no one caught you through your window? thunder up.

walrusmuse 47 pts

jameshardensbeard yep. several times I got animated while watching a really glitchy stream in santa fe nm hotel room while my wife watched tv. she's laughing the whole time.

jameshardensbeard 16 pts

walrusmuse yeah, same here as far as the horrible stream. i'm in AZ, so i'm either cursed with watching a horrid suns team, or coping with the feed. even then, seeing the new and improved perk, seemingly better flow of the halfcourt offense, well, at least in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, thabo playing more like thabo of old, a possible emergence of aldrich, harden still hitting 3's, russ playing a less wreckless game, solid game actually, and KD being KD, i'd call it glorious nonetheless..

Daniel Plainview 44 pts

walrusmuse jameshardensbeard ha. That's lovely

walrusmuse 47 pts

Thabo had a good game-put together the usually scattered offensive chops he has from time to time. Aldrich looked smarter, more confident, and had some mistakes, but two decent games in a row.

I know it bears repeating: Perk is now...fun...can i say it?!...to watch! So encouraged by even little things like how he runs the floor.

Russ flashed some nasty for a few plays....i can't wait to watch more of that.

OkcBaby 171 pts

Playing the Magic is going to be fun. After this preseason sweep the season looks like its going to be another good one. Go THUNDER!

jameshardensbeard 16 pts

OkcBaby yeah, i was really hoping that the short season will benefit our younger squad. so far it seems that way (no jinx).

DXL 30 pts

Selfish display by Cook. It's not about your shot, it's about the team.

Thabo is deservedly player of the game. He played wonderful defense and was very energetic and effective on offense.

sutpen 43 pts

DXL hmm. I don't know. he barely played the first half.

David_MN 76 pts

DXL Not at all selfish except for the shot where he got it at the arc, did a dribble move, and shot from jimmer range. Cook is a shooter. He shoots. That's what we want him doing and if he has an open look, damn right he should shoot it.

Stringer Bell 89 pts

There was like 3 seconds on the shot clock when he got the ball. No matter who took that shot it was going to be awful. David_MN DXL

jameshardensbeard 16 pts

DXL true. i'd say thabo or cole deserved it.

Grolgar 141 pts

Disagree. We're not paying Cook to pass up open 3s. He just had an off night. It happens.

Tronchaser 68 pts

Good to be back in basketball mode. Anyone have an extra ticket for Christmas night?

sutpen 43 pts

how was sefolosha player of the game over harden? who decides these things?...scott brooks?

jameshardensbeard 16 pts

sutpen sure, harden hit some threes, but he also flung up some crap shots driving in. thabo played hard and smart (aside from the early fouls.) this seemed like thabo from 2 years ago, maybe even better. i'm stoked about it. its sad when people complain about one of our players playing well. he busted his ass tonight.

jameshardensbeard 16 pts

sutpen wasn't necessarily referring to YOU, but more of a preemptive strike. haha

sutpen 43 pts

jameshardensbeard I don't think there're many fans openly rooting against sefolosha. it's just that it's easy to see that harden is the better player and fans are rightfully curious how the starting lineup would look with him in there. so from that, sefolosha just finds himself in a very precarious spot...

jameshardensbeard 16 pts

sutpen yeah, i'm not against harden starting by any means, but thabo generally plays with more fire and intensity on both ends , just comes up short to harden as far as offensive skillset goes. his shots just don't fall in games. but like tonight, the nights he can contribute on defense AND offense, we're nearly unstoppable, but that can be done off the bench too.

C_Dub 150 pts

Jerome Randle had 29 points.

JaymieBrittJordan1 8 pts

C_Dub The same amount of points he will likely score the rest of the season.

C_Dub 150 pts

JaymieBrittJordan1 13/18? Who was guarding him?

OkcBaby 171 pts

Post game thoughts: Thabo sucks, start harden, trade maynor, its all your fault Jeff Green

jallenmorris 34 pts

OkcBaby Wow. Lay off the guy. He's about to go under the knife. (I realize you're just kidding around)

sutpen 43 pts

OkcBaby would presti have traded green if he knew it was literally going to break his heart?

OkcBaby 171 pts

I am one of Jeff Greens biggest fans. Mocking the haters

RodneyRosavelRusanWilson 390 pts

great to see cole get the post game interview

David_MN 76 pts

Dallas got going towards the end but there was lots of positives from bench guys. Aldrich and RJ were impressive

Grolgar 141 pts

Nice looking drive by RJ even though he didn't finish.

jameshardensbeard 16 pts

Grolgar he looked pretty confident with the offense as far as running plays and knowing where players would be and when... seems really smart and ready to dive right in.. i like his upside, but don't know where he'll fit in. like i said earlier, if only he were like 6'7'', he could back up KD like no other...

justin_mia 410 pts

Nice take by Reggie has to finish that.

AaronV123 5 pts

Thabo Player of the Game over Cole?.... uhhh

JaymieBrittJordan1 8 pts

Is there any live streams of the Thunder games throughout the season?

JimboSlice 198 pts

Grolgar and missed all 3 of his shots after the whistle that didn't count in the second half too

sutpen 43 pts

Grolgar I like that he got out a season worth of misses out his system in a preseason game.

shiki 67 pts

The reason I like Ivey is he always helps his team when he is on court. This 3P is important

OkcBaby 171 pts

IVEY! finds shot before cook

SammyThunderer 759 pts

Nazr is useless if he can't hit those 12-15 footers...

justin_mia 410 pts

SammyThunderer He looks terrible just like the playoffs.
