Video: Perk is looking pretty healthy

Kendrick Perkins has been quite the mystery during the offseason. In between bar fights and dehydration, nobody really has a good idea what Perk’s been up to or how he’s coming along in his effort to lose weight and get back to 100 percent.

Well, according to this four and a half minute video of him working out, I’d say he’s looking pretty fit and trim.

Perk talked about losing some 30 pounds after the season ended and admitted he was only around 60 percent when he was in Oklahoma City. I’ve tried to pass along that the Perk Thunder fans saw wasn’t what a healthy Perk looks like. He was recovering from a fairly devastating knee injury and finally looks to be getting his legs back under him.

I mean, he could barely dunk last season. And in that video, he throws down with ease.

I wouldn’t get too excited about his post moves though. Everyone looks good going against air. But his footwork did look sharp and on point. His movement is much more fluid. Overall, he just looks healthy. That’s the player Sam Presti envisioned when he traded for him and then promptly gave a big extension.

Too bad he’s not putting all that hard work to the test tonight against Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol. Sigh.

Is he supposed to be wearing that Thunder logo?

What I'd like to see in a workout video for Perkins is him catching basketballs out of one of those machines wide receivers use to work on their hands.

Physically, though, he looks great.

PNT :Mobility is greatly improved. He trudged down court in 10-11. He can actually run now.

That's what I noticed, too..."holy crap, he's running!" That was also some serious work in the weight room with nary a knee brace in sight. Sweet!

Well that question is answered:) Beast Mode

Our school has Thunder Thursdays. This settles it. . . . I'm wearing my Perk t-shirt this week!

How much has this lockout hurt our young players off season development ?

Serge Ibaka and Kendrick Perkins, this might be jaw dropping.

KD made the front page of NFL.com. Thought that was pretty cool:

Perk looks great! Hardly looks like the same guy we saw last season. Mobility is greatly improved. He trudged down court in 10-11. He can actually run now.

I think Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits wrote a song about lockouts , or maybe not ............

I want my ...

I want my NBA .

Ok, we can forget about that "no in shape" crap. He looks great! His shot is still flat though.

The dude's arms and delts look ridiculous now, particularly when he's doing those dead lifts. I bet Bynum for one is glad tonight's game got cancelled.
