The Lakers top OKC 103-97 on opening night, says a computer

Why this video? Because I’m pretending that happened again tonight.

I guess it’s better than nothing. The Lakers beat the Thunder 103-97 on opening night of the NBA season which of course, didn’t actually happen.

Computer simulation Strat-O-Matic, which is a producer of stats-based sports games, plans to simulate every game during the lockout and did so Tuesday in conjunction with ESPN.com. John Hollinger “coached” the Thunder.

Oklahoma City, who opened on the road in Los Angeles in a make-believe world, fell to the Lakers behindĀ  22 virtual points and eight fake assists from Kobe. Kevin Durant finished with 36 pretend points, Russell Westbrook had 19, but no other Thunderer scored more than eight. Serge Ibaka did have four make-believe blocks though.

The Thunder led at the half 46-45 but the Lakers started the third quarter on a 9-0 run. But Oklahoma City came charging bac— ah, who am I kidding. This sucks.

Obviously Strat-O-Matic did not watch the Perkins video......

@Thunder S
Haters never change

I'm really disappointed in fake James Harden not getting to double digits. This is the year everyone realizes they are screwed because Harden is Manu Ginobli and the Thunder are the new Spurs. I actually don't think fake James Harden is as good as real James Harden. Let's #occupyfantasia and see if we can't get a fake re-simulation.

Funny, my simulation on NBA 2K12 had the Thunder winning by 4 with RW stealing from D. Fisher for a windmill dunk with 15 sec left to seal it for the Thunder.

The lockout sucks.

I'd like to think with the new coach for the Lakers the score just might have been flipped in our favor.

I keep telling myself that when the season starts I'm going to "take a stand" and sit at home to watch the games in protest to all this lockout nonsense, but deep down I know differently... I can't wait to be back in Loud City.

I think it is a sign how hard up I am for Thunder basketball that my first thought was to get p.o.'d about this result before reminding myself its a meaningless computer simulation.

okc baby is back and ready to back maynor :)

Just saw Perk vid he looks in shape:)

Is it illegal for the Thunder to practice out of country. They could get Harden in the starting rotation, make sure Perk is loosing weight:) and in shape, acclimating Jackson.........................

Driving the fake stake further through my heart.... :(

crying fake tears . . . . oh wait, those are real

Ya, I sadly watched some of it...so when this lockout ends and we start by December (hopefully!), does the schedule just start where it should or will the entire schedule be redone?
