Saturday Morning Cartoons: Will you answer the call?

Morning playoff people. Thank you for your support of Daily Thunder. Next is now.

It’s on.

Kevin Durant issued a challenge yesterday to Thunder fans. He doesn’t think you can do any better. “I don’t think they can get any louder than they were last year, but that is a challenge to everybody. I don’t think you guys will be better than you was last year. But we’ll see. That’s one thing we’ve all been talking about, running out of that tunnel and seeing how it is.”

Last season, the Thunderdome may have been hazardous to your health. If we’re going to take up KD on this, somebody might be leaving the arena in an ambulance Sunday night.

i really do help we get the benifit of the doubt with the questionable calls since we have two superstars, because apperently today two big games we're decided by those calls. For instance the Derick Rose And 1 that brought the Bulls back shouldn't have been in foul(in my opinion).

Sixers kept it close, then trailed big but Young had a great 4th quarter to get the Sixers down by 1,

then this is how you know Lechoke, and Flash got superstar calls, Young takes a charge but they don't call it, Lebron still missed, Young scores, Sixers down by 1, Heat bring the ball down the floor, then D-Wade jumps for contact from Iggy, thing is he uses his legs to push Iggy away which also is what the ref counts as contact, 99% of the time thats an offensive foul, since its Wade its a blocking foul, turns out to be an And 1 and just like that Heat up by 4, moments later buzzer sounds.

@f5alcon

Sixers are my second team in the NBA, they would be the 5th seed if they played as well in the second half of the season as they did in the first.

To those asking, I have heard there will be shirts and they will be dark blue. Cannot confirm that though

i hope KD and crew don't take the Nuggets as easy bait,(i know they don't our boys aren't cocky like the Bulls/Heat) but man we're seeing what happens when you underestimate your opponet, Pacers pushed the Bulls to their limit, and right now Sixers are pushing the Heat around.

@DJ 7
hopefully we come out more ready than these higher seeds, sixers are much better than their record because of the poor early season play

I'm so proud of the Pacers even though im not a real fan of theirs but man they played some great basketball today, and Sixers are playing real well as well.

pacers could stop rose no matter what they did, even though he only shot 10-23 and 0-9 from 3

Sixers up 13 on the Heat WOW they're also playing good basketball.

Bulls win 104-99, Pacers inexperience finally cought up to them, but WOW that was an amazing game, and the Pacers are now one of my favorate teams in the NBA with the core they have for the next few years they'll be a team to be reckon with, i know this is just one game, but remember it was Game 2 last year that made the Thunder.

Bulls going on a real strong run against the Pacers, Pacers with the 3 pointlead with 2:28 left to go in regulation, lets see what the Pacers can do.

OMG!!!! Tyler Hansborough with the steal and runs the floor for a And 1 facial over Boozer!!!

WOW we're seeing the evolution of Tyler Hansborough, i remember last year Laker fans and ect, kept saying Game 2 for Ibaka was a fluke and he would never gave a game like that again, look at Ibaka now. The Playoffs really do bring out the best in players.

5:33 to go and Pacers with a 6 point lead, Bulls get the ball out of the timeout, but the Pacers just put in Hans, and Collison who have been hot all game in on this time out. So lets see what happens, Hibbert/Hans have been giving Noah, and Boozer fits all game, and even though Collison can't guard Rose, Rose can't guard Collison, and Granger is still hot.

Pacers with an 8 point Lead going into the 4th and Granger just got hot, Lets see what they can do, Boozer has 4 fouls on him, and everyone else except Rose have disappeared.

grolgar has recommended Brix

intentional or not an elbow is an elbow, the commentator shouldn't try to justify the case against the call, because had that been a Pacers player with the non intentional elbow he would have try to make it seem like it was.

@f5alcon

i think im going to make a personal visit to every game spot in bricktown, since im not going to any of the PO games, it would be nice to see how every big spot in BT is when it comes to service, crowd control, and atmosphere.

My list so far is Buffalo Wild Wing, Spaghetti Warehouse, Americas Pub, that Boomer Q place, and i don't know where else, someone have any suggestions?

@DJ 7
yeah doesnt seem like the bulls were prepared.

thats what happens when you underestimate a team, the Bulls are getting worked by the Pacers, last year no matter how hard the media try to make it seem, the Lakers never took us easy, Kobe always said our the series would be hard, thats the difference between the elite teams.

@DJ 7
yeah, they probably will for the homes game, they did last year

phatlad :
I’m a longtime Pacers fan, until Oklahoma got a franchise. As a longtime fan of a small market team, be prepared to be screwed in the playoffs this year, next year, the year after that and the year after that.

Spurs??

HELL YEAH!!! Pacers are playing real good basketball!!

@f5alcon

It would be pretty cool, maybe they have the big ol TV outside the Arena playing the games!

Greg :@f5alcon

It would be awesome if they opened the what?

Ford Center, the Arena the team plays in, But they don't call it that anymore because of naming rights. I kinda like the Ford Center name though, i wish they just kept it like that.

They’re the home team in a playoff game with a super star, that’s just how it is.
We’ll get the same kind of benefit with KD / Russ.

true, but i don't think we'll get fouls THAT questionable in our favor.

btw i'de like to argue that the Bulls have a worse offensive system than we do, their plays are Rose holds ball, Dribbles for 16 seconds then decide if he passes or drives.

The Pacers are doing a great job of driving to the rim and getting fouls on Boozer, that already takes away one of their offensive players, Deng always disappears in the PO's, and Pacers are taking open close shots.

@f5alcon
It would be awesome if they opened the what?

@DJ 7
yeah it would be awesome if they opened the ford center for the games.

But yeah we should all try and do at least one game, all the knowledge that we have collectively, would be the most intelligent basketball gathering short of the sloan conference,lol

Cpt. C-note :
I’d go to Loud City to watch away games! That would be amazing! BYOB?

yeah i would really be down to go, i wish they would do that for us, i remember last year watching the Cavs-Celtics, Jazz-Nuggets, and Spurs-Mavs games when they didn't have anything to show they would show the fans of the away team at the away teams arena watching the game their. I would love if they did that for us!

@DJ 7

They're the home team in a playoff game with a super star, that's just how it is.

they called Collison for a travel but Rose fouled him way before. WTF?

for instance Granger fouled going up to the rim, comes back down and rebounds his own ball, fouled twice by the Bulls(Rose, Noah) and still goes up to the rim but they call it a Shot Clock Violation, Rose Drives and Hibbert gets semi-ball, they call a foul for Rose in a heartbeat.

what the Pacers have been doing real well would be killing the Bulls momentum when the Bulls would go on a run, On the ESPN Boards Bull fans are complaining that the Refs are giving the Pacers FT's but i argue if they've watched the game, the Pacers are driving hard to the rim and making their open shots, instead of take 20 footers like the Bulls, the Pacers are taking 15-18 footers.

I'd go to Loud City to watch away games! That would be amazing! BYOB?

The Pacers are playing the Bulls like we played the Lakers last year...

f5alcon :
we should watch our away games together

i'de be down! what i wished was that they would open the ford for us to go and watch the games their, just like almost every other team does.

all the rose love makes me sick

we should watch our away games together

Pacers are truly playing great basketball, if they can protect their Homecourt, then the series swings in their favor. They're playing smart ball, and are not counting on one player to make it all happen.

@Cpt. C-note

Prepare to be lambasted over your choice in Americas Pub.. Everyone here hates it. Well, except for you. :)

@phatlad
America's Pub is where we went last year before Games 3, 4, and 6. Very festive! You can shoot free throws for free beers, plus they have cheep burger, dogs, fries,...
I'll be there.

I hope to lose my voice by halftime. Then I will bang on those paper noise makers until my arms fall off. Challenge accepted KD! I like his style!

its not hard to tell when the Refs are leaning towards one team, and i hate pointing, or blaming the refs for anything, but Indiana is off to a very good start on the Bulls, so far the Bulls have had 2 almost no contact fouls called in their favor, There should have been a blocking foul on Noah but they didn't call it at all, Rose has charged a player twice, but they don't call it.

justin :
Jon Barry is the worst.

+1. So glad our first two games are on TNT. Between Hannah Storm (Oak City), Wilbon and Barry, it's enough to make me puke.

I'm a little nervous about the playoffs. A lot of people seem to be predicting no upsets in the first round. I think that is just highly unlikely. And I think we're the most vulnerable, in that we have the most talented opponent of the top 8.

The 'No chance in Hell' teams: Pacers, Sixers, Hornets, (and maybe the Grizzlies, but they have played well against the Spurs).

After that, I don't really think the Knicks can beat the Celtics, and Atlanta shouldn't really have a chance to beat the Magic.

That leaves Dallas-Portland and OKC-Denver as legitimate upset possibilities. As much as Dallas has choked in the past, they played pretty well down the stretch, and they are still way more playoff tested and playoff ready than Portland. I would pick Dallas to win the series. That leaves OKC-Denver for upset potential. Makes me worried.

Kinda wish I had noticed earlier my video didn't embed.
