larry :@justinI would disown him if he did it. No way he does.

Yep! Wouldn't want an All Star caliber PF who can pass, block shots, handle the ball, defend, run the break, and finish. I'd rather have the raw PF whose best case scenario is Josh Smith and the tweener whose ideal position we need the least. Makes sense...

@justin
I would disown him if he did it. No way he does.

P.S. if Josh Smith was offered for Ibaka / Green I'd disown Presti if he did not accept that trade...

LOL. 40 minutes of Jeff Green talk and no mention of anything he does well on the court. Maybe I missed it..? I think someone said he was a decent offensive rebounder.

The discussion was good and I can't fathom how the conclusion came from the discussion that was had.

I agree with @f5alcon that the chemistry issue is over rated. I also think it is mostly media driven. I think people like a nice story and this nice story of the player's friendships have been milked for more than it is worth and has taken on a life of it's own.

Our players are competitors with a drive to be the best they can possibly be. 100% of our roster will still be competitors if their friends play for another team. The chemistry on the court will be just fine as long as there is no single player that hogs the ball and does his own thing. That is not the type of player we obtain, so that isn't a legitimate concern. You don't have to vacation together off the court to have good team chemistry on the court.

KD is not going to stop caring about winning or playing hard if Jeff Green plays for someone else.

I know you guys didn't say otherwise in the podcast. This isn't a response to your opinions as much as it is my general two cents on the subject.

i have the same problems with the podcast on my iphone i have to do is wait till sunday and download it from itunes store or plug it in on my computer and download it from there

@Brad
KD has said things like jeff green is like a brother, which says that he really likes green, and he is honest, however his actions show it a little different, he went to china with harden, harden was training with him in DC for awhile, the broingtons didnt exist until harden came along, So im not entirely convinced that green is required to be here for kevin to be happy.

Durant is a very positive guy, if green left, he would probably say something like good luck, go help out the other team. Though i think it would also depend on if green left in a trade versus signing an offer sheet next summer somewhere else.

Also they all seem to trust presti and believe in what he is doing, so i think if presti went to KD and said we are trading green because i think it will help the team, KD would be ok with it.

For jeff green to have the best career he needs to start at SF somewhere, so if he was in that situation I dont see durant wanting anything less then the best for green.

I dont think green is going anywhere if he agrees to a backup PF/SF role and money that pays that, whether through an extension or we match a low offer sheet from another team. Im pretty confident presti wont Rudy Gay green.

I do not think green can be the starting PF and us win a championship, just like i dont think the lakers could win one if odom was the starting PF, im not even convinced orlando can with lewis at PF(and they have the best true center in the league) It goes back to the positionality thing, tweeners are great but not always as starters in the playoffs.

@Bender
Mind letting us know what the exact error you get when you try and download the episode from itunes was? Also does it work on your iphone to download the episode directly from the "DOWNLOAD" link in this post?

@Joel

Thanks for taking a look.

@f5alcon
This is interesting. Alot has been made over Green's friendship with KD, but how much of an effect does this really have on the team? And how good of friends were they before?

i disagree with the jeff green chemistry thing, i dont feel any one player is that important to chemistry, i dont think KD is gonna go cry if green left for that long, especially if he was replaced by somebody that kevin also gets along with.

Regardless if green hasnt gotten an extension yet, i dont expect him to the rest of the summer.

My iPhone doesn't download TGR either. Thought it was just a problem with my iPhone. Sorry about that. We are contacting iTunes to look into it.

@Bender

@MartzMimic
Apologies guys. What specific problems are coming up with your iPhones? Does the direct download not work? Is there problems with the itunes channel linked here?

@Bender
I am continually amazed at how uniPhone (and other mobile devices) friendly so many sites are. There aren't many times I'm going to give up nearly an hour to listen to a podcast, especially if I have to sit in front of my computer.

Why do these podcasts not work with IPhone?

@ThunderHorn
It's hard to imagine that the NBA season is still over 2 months away...at least we still have the FIBA championships later this month.

ugh this is the longest offseason of all time.

Saw this tweet on the ESPN NBA page, thought it was pretty interesting.

@kevinarnovitz Per @Hoopdata: Jeff Green & Troy Murphy assisted on *every* single one of their 100+ 3-pointers in 09-10.

Half way through listening, and I gotta say there is nothing that makes me more angry then when someone tells me "it's just a game" or "it's just basketball".
