Kevin Durant is NEXT

Have a watch and read the story. I’d pull some choice excerpts, but I assume you can figure out how to click the link and read the whole thing for yourself. But make sure to watch Russ interview KD. Pretty funny.

    I laughed pretty hard at “word association”:

    Practice? “Hard.”
    Video games? “My life.”

    Should we be worried? Stick to basketball KD, and put down the controller. Haha.

    @KingGondo

    Nah not to worry. As a PC gaming enthousist (man I can’t spell today). I don’t think we have anything to worry about until he starts practicing on games 8 hrs a day (…..don’t ask lol)

    Since he’s likes to chill I would imagine he also watchs quite a few movies/tv shows also..

    I’m good with video games being his “life” that just leads creedence to the fact that he is laid back and genuinely happy here in OKC (the middle of nowhere as the article subtly jabs) and not looking to bolt to a bigger more exciting market the second he has a chance.

    Does anyone else think saying KD is ‘Next’ is kind of cheating a bit? I always thought this ‘title’ was reserved for high school athletes

    Yea I thought it was for unknowns.

    That’s not how ESPN uses the term. Look at the previous athletes who’ve been the NEXT player, and you get into names like Kobe, LeBron, Dwight, etc.

  1. No trackbacks yet.
