Thunder waives Michael Ruffin
October 22nd, 2009
And now there were 16:
The Oklahoma City Thunder waived forward Michael Ruffin it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manger Sam Presti. Ruffin appeared in one game this preseason for Oklahoma City, grabbing 1.0 rebound in 12.0 minutes of action.
Ryan Bowen and Mike Harris are the only two remaining non-roster players left.

Where would your money go if you HAD to bet on one of these three options:
A. The Thunder sign Ryan Bowen
B. The Thunder sign Mike Harris
C. The Thunder sign neither, and leave the 15th spot empty.

I would bet the spot stays open.
this is like a horror movie, we are waiting to see if the evil mastermind will leave anyone alive…muahahahahaha

I’d say A) is the most likely outcome.
Personally, I’d go with option B. Harris is way younger than Bowen, and might actually be able to play some as KD’s backup. If we eventually need his roster spot, we could simply cut him, although, I’m inclined to think that neither of them will be signed.
Rumor has it that before Ruffin was actually waived, he took his stuff and threw it in the air. Don’t know if there is any truth to it.
I hope they leave the 15 spot open, but I think that Presti will keep Ryan Bowen. He is a practice all-star.
Bowen is a hustler, but, we are just stacked everywhere….don’t see how he would help in any way except for maybe as a body in practice.
