Second to last. This is the second to last warmup game before the real deal. By that token alone, I’m excited about this game.

It’s also Kevin Durant’s homecoming and Scott Brooks said KD would play more minutes tonight. Even though Durant went to that “school” down south, I’m happy for him and I’m sure he’s going to really enjoy being back there. He got a little misty when his jersey was raised to the rafters last spring and I’m sure he’ll feel similar emotions tonight while his name gets chanted all night. So good for him.

But this is the back end of a back-to-back, so this should be nice preparation for the team. It’s something you have to deal with all season and while most the team is used to it, getting your legs back after a game the night before isn’t just something you remember how to do.

I get the feeling we’ll see more of the starters tonight and maybe lower rotation guys at the Ford Center Thursday against the Kings. Maybe it’ll be the other way around but regardless, the tuneups are almost over so it’s time to start thinking about playing for real.

Tip at 7:30 CDT. Go Kevin Durant.

Seats were awesome... Right behind Thunder bench and sat beside Bennett and in front of Presti... We were the home team but not really... Lots of Spurs fans... Which I expected... Driving home to OKC tomorrow.

okay, I'm Kev, your one man gang in the booth - I'm out . . . see ya next time!!!!

Harden and one (finishes with contact) . . .

Thomas for two (SWEET dish) from Harden . . .

geesh, our hedging out on threes (Thomas) is horrible . . .

KD is a great scorer but his ballhandling gets him in trouble - I can see why Brooks rarely gives him the ball up top late, he has trouble in traffic and is not a good enough passer to compensate . . .

Livingston is not adding to the team at all at this point . . .

I overestimated his potential . . .

Brooks is playing the starters HEAVY minutes . . . didnt we get blown out last night? If they were really tired then he shouldve played the regulars less . . . I don't like excuses, we are just getting whooped . . .

KD needs to call uncle - just making silly mistakes now . . . pressing in Austin . . .

Announcer just made a point, do you guys think them playing back to back nights have anything to do with how bad defense they're playing?

TGIOP
Thank God It's only Pre-Season

the illegal feed site is not working tonight

Durant is just cold . . . turning it over now . . .

SA is a GREAT passing team . . .

Ibaka with a follow slam . . .

even Thabo is going under screens (he almost NEVER does that)

sigh . . .

I wish Russ would score a bit more, but for now I'll be happy with a consistent 3-1 AST/TO ratio.

Anybody have a link to the stream? The one Royce posted goes to Golden State-Lakers.

Green (from RW) . . .

great floor game by Russ . . .

Green is schooled by the rook . . .

where's the other post players??

Krstic (good look from RW) . . .

Thabo has his gameface on . . .

he's the only one . . .

Ginobli made Harden looked silly . . .

RW pressing now while behind . . .

starting to take bad shots . . .

RH :The Thunder are athletic enough to survive at plenty of one-on-one matchups. Unfortunately the Spurs are such a great passing team, they expose our biggest weakness on defense – perimeter defense and rotations. They always make the extra pass and we rarely get there on time. Thoughts?

you nailed it . . . we are reactive instead of proactive on defense . . . without Weaver playing, we don't have ONE good defensive perimeter player outside of Thabo . . .

wecan agree to disagree . . .

--------

16 pt deficit is horrible even for preseason . . .

Is that feed on ATDHE.net working? I click on it and all I see is color bars.

@Kev
I don't think we are in disagreement here- They are obviously not playing good perimiter defense- I'm just saying the Spurs are putting up a more outside shots than seems prudent, and if they were shooting at whatever percentage they normally shoot during the pre-game warm-up, we would probably be ahead of them right now.

Steve - we want the same thing, but putting a hand in a face is decent but NOT great perimeter defense - that would be rotating to force a jump shooter NOT to shoot . . . we aren't ready for the next pass - we wait until the next pass and then we think about it - that's how losing teams stay losing teams despite our good offense tonight . . .

Steve we have to agree to disagree - I know you have watched the game so there is a reason for that percentage . . .

Green, Durant, and Livingston have major problems rotating vs shooters that NEVER DRIVE (Finley and Bonner) . . .

they should at least run at them and make them put the ball on the floor once or twice - we are doing the same thing we did last season, and that's frustrating . . .

@Kev
Don't get me wrong, we need to do better on the perimiter, but these guys have been unconscious- with or without a hand in their face.

@Kev
They hit 11 of 14 3s in the first half. I know they have some good long range shooters, but that percentage is insane. Most guys don't do that good at the all-star game's 3 point shoot out. If they had shot 50% from three, which is a ridiculously high %, we would be up by 3.

Warren :
Kev :Krstic looks lost against Duncan . . .

But he has been effective.

I meant on the defensive end . . .

Spurs 11/14 from three . . . that’s horrible perimeter defense for a high school team . . .

So did I

RW still needs help on the defensive end - Parker just schooled him with a crossover (no screen) and broke down the rest of our defense - we give up another three in the corner . . .

Kev :Krstic looks lost against Duncan . . .

But he has been effective.

Thabo is not even playing his usual (stellar) defense tonight . . .

this will be our problem this year . . . offense looks good, RW is playing well, KD is unstoppable . . .

and we are trailing by 8 . . .

defense has to get better . . .

Krstic looks lost against Duncan . . .

Krstic from 12 (from RW) . . .

first bad shot by RW . . . a record for him . . .

Steve H :Some of those early threes were from our guys not rotating fast enough- but this last half dozen or so have just been flukey shooting by the Spurs. I hope they jack up 3s like this when we play them for real.

flukey shooting?? That's all Finley and Bonner do is shoot threes - especially when we dont bother to rotate . . .

preseason shooting pct.

OKC 54%
SA 50%
