Durant's second worst shooting night of his NBA career. He had a 2-17 April 4 '08. The overall FG% for the 3 games is really low. He'll need to get that back in shape.

I should have said 20th worst on raw +/- "on/off". The team in the first 2 games just did a whole better with him off even though he was +3 on.

I know it is way early and there are huge estimated errors right now but I mention it so others (especially you) can watch what happens to it if they want.

@Crow

Not sure how to quantify Sef's adjusted +/-, it's still just too soon to tell. He was +12 on raw +/- in the Sacto game and he was -9 in Detroit. That makes +3 raw. That's good enough for me to suspect that the standard noise and error in the adjusted is still to voluminous to draw any conclusions. Harden is subbed for Sef and at this time the team is rocking with Harden because of his great passing which= great offensive flow. But Thabo's lockdown defense has it's place.

Sagarin ratings at USA Today has the Thunder schedule to date as 8th easiest and rate them as 21st best while the Blazers schedule to date as 4th hardest and rate them as 10th best. But it is too early to conclude anything with this rating or without.

If you want another stat to chew on I see Thabo ranked at 6th worst in the league on Adjusted +/-, about 20th worst on raw +/-. Too early to conclude, let it cook longer before you chew much, but whether he should be starting with Durant and Green remains an issue to watch.

Our points allowed is so low because we played the kings and the pistons, not exactly offensive powerhouses, if we keep the blazers below 90 points then our defense is playing well.

I have seen Krstic box his man very well and be extremely aggressive at getting the boards. There was one rebound that was athletically impressive because he tipped the ball 2 times in the air and was quick enough to jump again and snag to the board. It was pretty quick for a 7 footer.

Crow :@ someone (or several) with an attentive eye:
Is Thomas boxing out his man well? If so, his rebounding numbers might be tolerable or semi-forgivable.
@ Joe, in addition to your early stat leader marks:Not sure how long it lasts but on the basis of his big assist game Harden is #1 on assist rating among shooting guards http://tinyurl.com/ydxw42g

nice call . . . I just watched the first half again and Etan didnt block out once - Krstic and Collison are much better than him at that task - hopefully he gets this corrected - also, Etan is not very aggressive in going to get the ball after it hits the rim - he just watches (a lot of guys leap to go get it) . . .

Might as well-

Collison 16th best Offensive Rebounds per minute among those who've played 10+ minutes.

Lots of guys filled specific stat roles.

In the name of more early pats on the back for more guys, found one more- Green is 17th right on TS% for those with 15+ FG attempts.

Joe can track which ones of these last.
