Saturday Morning Cartoons: When they were young

(Buenos dias my good associates. Here’s to a fantastic Saturday where you accomplish none of the things you told yourself all week that you were going to do.)

I have no idea why, but this is one of the best Youtube videos I’ve seen this year. I just ate it up. Basically, it’s just a slideshow of NBA players when they were young. Sadly, no Thunder players are involved, but regardless this is top notch. It is just very cool to me to see these titans of athleticism in these small bodies with no muscle. And I really like the ones where they look EXACTLY the same – Dwyane Wade (he even dressed the same!), Antwan Jamison, Bruce Bowen and Dirk among others. Be warned though: I would advise against taking a sip of water/coffee when Andrew Bogut’s, Steve Nash’s or Kevin Garnett’s picture pops up. Also, I think Jason Kidd’s two pictures may help settle the white/black debate that’s torn this country apart for years. Am I allowed to say that?

This whole Stephen Jackson thing is weird. None of the teams he wants to be traded to need him. I've been fiddling with ESPN's trade machine, and I think I have found a few deals that make sense:

Miami receives:
Stephen Jackson

GS receives:
James Jones
Dorrel Wright
A few picks

While it does sort of eat in to some of Miami's '10 cap space, this trade makes sense. Jax would take a lot of pressure off of D-Wade, and they could get rid of James Jones' long term deal in exchange for a slightly larger, but more effective long term deal. GS, however, probably wouldn't do this trade because it won't give them any sort of salary relief for next year.

New Orleans receives:
Stephen Jackson

GS receives:
Julian Wright
Antonio Daniels
A few picks

This works really well for both teams. New Orleans gets a starting SG who can take a lot of pressure off of CP3, and Golden State gets '10 salary space, and a young guy in Julian Wright who they can give a shot at making the rotation.

Anyone else think J Kidd looks kinda like Malcolm Gladwell with that fro? I think he made the right choice going bald.

My favorite one had to be the one of Yao standing on the Great Wall. Just awesome.

Dwayne Wade and Yao still look the same.

@Chris
Haha, seriously. Dwyane Wade's cracked me up big time for some reason with the bow tie.

Looks like Dirk was working on a little mullet there.

Why does Andrew Bogut look just like Byron Mullens does now?
