Kind of interesting on the NBA 2K10 trailer that if you look at the draft order, the Spurs have the sixth pick and the Blazers have the seventh. The Pistons have the ninth and 14th, so I guess all that money they spent for bench players really didn't help much :)

I live in Tulsa and don't believe any of this "big deal" stuff. Fact is, I have heard nobody say anything about the conflict. The only person that mentioned it (to my knowledge) is Baldwin in his blog, which just happens to run in OKC's newspaper online. There was a small blurb once in the Tulsa World, I believe, but that's been it. And no, unless OU or OSU is playing TU, not many people here care for TU football. As a matter of fact, when the aforementioned teams play here, it might as well be a home game for them, not TU.

Personally, I'd rather be at any Thunder game, preseason or not, than any TU game. But that's just me.

Isn't the TU game at 6 p.m.? Just change the Thunder game to the afternoon, sell the tickets super cheap (if you remember, last year's OKC vs. Houston preseason game wasn't even close to a sellout), and run some school promotion to get schools and kids out there.

Does Tulsa really go all that crazy for TU football games? I know it's a big one, but is it that big of a deal? Well, probably bigger than a preseason basketball game...

as for the TU/Thunder conflict, i can understand why they would make it a big deal. OKC is 100 miles from tulsa so its a 200 mile trip which in addition to ticket costs/parking costs/food costs is a gas charge. That and the fact that we don't have the team in Tulsa and its kind of a big deal to have an NBA game played here.
