Four horsemen? Can we name them natural disasters?

Harden- Tornado

Durant- Lightening

Westbrook- Hurricane

Green- Tsunami

That would probably sell tickets...

Man, watching Harden play makes it that much harder to wait to take my seat in the Ford Center next season. I can't wait to watch the Three Amigos turn into the four Horsemen. When those four guys gel, it's going to be fun to watch.

I def agree with the prevailing wisdom on Mullens. I don't mind him taking jumpers if he has a perfect open shot, but he does not need to be putting it up everytime he gets the ball. Some work on his hands would also be a lot of help. He really fumbles passes - maybe because he's getting ahead of himself or maybe because he's just that way. I don't know, but it's got to get better. Glad he had a good game otherwise. No reason to be overly critical of a guy who is clearly a project and who is showing signs of progress.

<a href="#comment-16962" rel="nofollow">@Kev </a>
Spot on about Mullens. TOO many jumpshots and it seems like he's playing like he wants to prove something. Every time the ball goes into him, there's a 90 percent chance he's shooting it.

Lakers game observations:

1) Better ball movement! I love having Harden, Livingston, and Weaver all on the outside. It’s beautiful watching the ball zip around without dribbles! That’s winning basketball! Durant, for all his value, slows the ball down. Ditto for Westbrook. Are we as good without those two? Of course not. Still, I wish they’d watch (or better have them watch with Brooks) how much easier it is to score the ball when it moves quickly.

2) Geesh, Mullens still jacks up too many jumpers. Do we really need this guy shooting 22 footers? His post game continues to bother me. Outside of Dirk Nowitzki (not a true post player) I’ve never seen a seven footer consistently post eighteen feet out. His turnaround jumper is awful. He’s also still over dribbling. On one play, Taylor Rochestie of the Lakers (ex-teammate of Weaver) easily picked him in the post because Mullens was too busy looking at his own dribble.

3) DJ White is just deadly from 15-17 feet. Automatic.

4) Weaver (and others) did a nice job on Adam Morrison, as Morrison was forced to take a lot of bad shots.

5) How about the unselfish play of Harden?? I liked when he caught the ball on the perimeter and IMMEDIATELY dished the ball to a diving Mullens for the easy two. The guy sees the floor BEFORE catching the ball. Great stuff.

6) If Livingston is really healthy, he needs serious work on his jumper. He took a 20 foot jumper and airballed it. Ugh.

But if working as an assistant doesn't cause salary offset and maybe it doesn't or even if it does It might be his best or last shot at head coaching again. I wonder whose idea this was Brooks or Presti. Hard to know what to make of it at this stage.

Elston Turner being interviewed by Minny. One of the guys that would have been better than PJ. Not necessarily in immediate wins but in player relations and results over time. If he gets the job will be interesting to see how he does.

I doubt Cheeks takes it since I think he is getting paid by the 76ers for the next season or two and anything he'd earn from another job probably would be taken out of that if it is the same with assistant gigs as it is commonly for taking another Head Coach job. It is good to try to get a former NBA head coach as a #1 though. Not sure how good an Xs and Os guy he is.Probably middling at best. Portland got worse on offense and defense every year til he was fired. In Philly the offensive and defensive ratings swung around but the wins didn't improve.

what's with all the negativity? Mullins and Ibaka have been great thus far. Playing five games in five days, traveling and losing in Vegas is no shame. Seek out the positive. We've got too much young talent to worry about every tiny mistake.
