There's a spot in the rotation up for grabs. 4th big. 9th guy. Probably 20 minute/game. It's either going to be DJ White or Serge Ibaka. Before watching Ibaka play, I had that spot going to White easy. Now I'm not sure at all. Serge can play. And he'll get loads better as he plays more.

When the Morning Animals started talking about how hard it was listening to Dante and Galante.

as far as russel rebounding on offense, and potentially being out of position on defense. Since he has such a good nose for the ball the SG just needs to get back. And I have not seen Harden diplaying the same sort of offensive rebound knack that russel does. doesn't matter whos is back as long as someone is... well unless is swifty ;)

<a href="#comment-15835" rel="nofollow">@Bryan</a>
Actually, I did notice it a bit (admittedly I didn't get to watch all the games out here). I mean, he's a rookie transitioning to a new position against much better players, and with a young team who didn't play all that well in team-defense, so I can understand the problems. But Westbrook actually had many issues with screens, getting back on defense, and following his man when he didn't have the ball.

The Thunder's ability to rebound last year was one of the reasons that I never understood why some said we needed Thabeet instead of a SG like Harden. Yes, we all know we need much better defense, but our defense - primarily because we rebounded well - was much closer to average than our offense.

Last update from Denver as, thank God, we're coming home tomorrow. I finally saw a decent number of Nuggets shirts at the Denver Zoo today. That said, I wouldn't trade Oklahoma City for Denver if you paid me (well, OK, sign me to a midlevel exception and I'll move). I can step outside my car to smoke outside a restaurant or even a parking lot a block from Coors Field without getting hit up by homeless guys.
