Barry Tramel is really good... he knows his stats very well, and understands most of the concepts of the NBA, salary structure, etc.... Traber tries to shout him down, but he's almost always right (if a little thought-provoking in his oddball ideas sometimes.)

Did anyone hear Traber's rant on women's basketball yesterday early afternoon? Shortly before 3 or so? Hilarious. He managed to use his high pitched squealie voice for almost 5 straight minutes. It amazes me that management hears something like that and goes "Yup. That there is good radio. Give that man a contract!" while I go "Wow. I can't believe I turned on WWLS expecting to hear something worth while. Off it goes."

Even better was how offensive his words were while using that voice. Something about how the WNBA was a thriving bastion of rampant lesbianism. I'm not sure if he was upset that someone was trying to promote lesbianism in Oklahoma, or if he thought someone was implying that there were lots of lesbians in Oklahoma and was offended by the implication, or if he was just mad that Carlson gets paid to write regardless of the content.

Either way, yeesh.

Also, my favorite thing about WWLS is how someone could listen to Al, Traber and Blevins separately and think to themselves, "Wow! Those three guys are so smart and insightful on their own, how incredible would it be if we could pile them altogether in one super show! And we could play it during rush hour! Their commentary on sports is exactly what people need after a long day at work and during a stressful, congested drive home!"

baseball...

Talk about your sport that needs a pitch clock. every other major sport has it except baseball...

Well except hockey but thats a timed event... wait.. every sport is a timed event (quarters perids whatever) except the snooze fest of baseball. 30 seconds between plays or the other team gets a base. watching baseball is like watching little league ymca teams try to score 100 points before the game can be called over.. painful.. just painful.

Watch baseball. I don't have a TV
Read every college football preview on the planet. That's what the internet is for.
Likewise, complain about the BCS Make a 4 team playoff; #5 has no argument for the title. #3 does. Besides, it actually could happen.
Work on your post game. I'm not freakishly tall...
Worry about what Brett Favre will do. I thought he was dead!
Go to a Redhawks game. I will.
Get inexplicably hooked to some lame reality show. I've never watched one... are they worth it?
Drive up and down I-35 and get stuck in traffic for two hours for no reason. It's going to 3 lanes down through Norman (down to SH 9W)... we need that. And we definitely needed a new 77/I-35 overpass... I drove it every day.
Argue with Jim Traber about everything, without calling in. He greatly irritates me, particularly when I agree... it gives my position a bad name if he takes it too.
Read a book. Nice work, J.G.
Read every post game recap I wrote last year. They weren't THAT good.
Go on a hunger strike until opening night. I'm hungry
Prep for your fantasy football draft. I'm in the middle of my first ever fantasy baseball league (winning going away), and the stats are fun, particularly for a person who rather likes numbers. Sabermetrics all the way!

Oops. That is without the open - contested part, at least for the fans. But Presti with access to Synergy videotape data or his own in-house stuff would have that.
