It sounded in the exit interviews like Kyle, DJ, Durant, Green and Westbrook are all very tight. They all mentioned travelling around the country to spend time with each other. Even to Alabama to hang with DJ and Wisconsin for Kyle. I think this is great. And all of those guys are within two years of age of each other. Only Kyle and DJ were four year guys, RW was two, Green three, Harden 2 and Durant one. So everybody is 23 or less from that group give or take.

Harden and Westbrook have evidently been friends since they were 11. So we’re off to a good start.
</blockquote>
Yeah, but what about that big fight they had when they were 13 over who would take Becky to the dance? Those kind of wounds take years to heal.

It would be awesome to hear that Harden joins the current trio not just on the court, but in their buddy-buddy group. all i read about is how good of friends they are, i think Harden will fit right in. How many teams have all their best players hang out and actually like each other off the court?

I love the headline Silva had, 'Harden Eager to Learn, Bond With New Teammates'. When I read it, the following scenario occurs to me:

Reporter walks into the Thunder practice facility. He hears some voices in the locker room and asks the staff guy next to him who it is. "Oh, that's Harden talking with some of the other players". Reporter says "Cool. I think I'll go in there and have a chat." Staff guy: "No, don't do that! Leave them alone - they're 'bonding'!"

Can't mess with the bonding process.

And to potentially be part of a very good thing.

I think people overvalue the "big market" thing. I think players want to be part of a good situation and OKC looks like a very good one.

having a guy who wants to be with this team is a good feeling. OKC might be a better FA destination than some TV-types are thinking, especially if you take Durant's recent comments about staying as being honest truth.

<a href="#comment-13086" rel="nofollow">@daniel </a>
Yeah, Harden actually looks happy to be pointing to Oklahoma City. If you take a look at some of the other player pics and how they are holding or interacting with the team ball in the picture, it's pretty funny.
