Seriously, when someone’s a unanimous, “it’s not even close because he’s so far beyond any of the rest” #1 pick, kev is right, they have to write about something. And journalists (and I’ll use the term very loosely), don’t want to seem either too pro one player or they’re just uninformed because they’re too lazy or too obtuse to actually do some research and background on the player, so they either go off of what everyone else says is a perceived weakness or they just watch one or two games and make a decision off of that to poke holes and write an incendiary article.

Griffin will be a beast in the NBA on both sides of the floor, you don’t kill yourself in the gym with Frank Matrisciano (and on the hills/in the sand of San Francisco) with the type of strenuous crossfit workout regimen he has if your character lacks in effort or intensity.
