<a href="#comment-6683" rel="nofollow">@Joe</a>
I wasn't more referring to him playing in the D-League after his contract is up. Only first and second year players under contract in the NBA can be "Assigned" to the D-League. I'm sure he'd find a place overseas before he resorted to playing in the D-League after his contract expires. Bottom line is the guy regressed this season, and we do NOT need him on the roster anymore.

Thanks for the link by the way, you guys do a really great job over here. I'd link you're stories a lot more if I did a daily link dump like you guys do, just don't have time. Barely have time to get posts up at all, lol.

Info to WTLC, only first and second year players under contract can play in the D league. Damien Wilkins is ineligible.

That Ben Gordon scenario reminds me of the space cadet Keith. When we drafted Vladi Radmanovich back in the day, in his third year he wanted to sign a big extension. Rick Sund, the then GM offered him something ridiculous (which I can't remember, but it was big money). He turned it down thinking his worth was much higher. We traded him before the deadline of his expiring year for Chris Wilcox and resigned Wilcox to a manageable contract (3 years 6 mil per). The Clippers couldn't come to a deal with Rad man either, so he signed with the Lakers for like half of what we originally offered. Now nobody even wants him.

re: Hoopsworld article on fouls

Fouls are usually in direct correlation with defensive effort - In Durant's case, his low foul total comes from trailing his man or not contesting enough when he is inside (against a fast break for example) . . .

one plus is that his length allows him a better reach on defenders (without getting too close) when he does contest jumpers . . .

I can't help but chuckle when I think about Ben Gordon and the NBA. One of two things is going to happen. One, he'll find out he's not worth anywhere near the money Chicago offered, and will have played this year for less only to receive a smaller contract now. Two, some team is going to fall in love with his big shots against Boston and ridiculously overpay him for the next 5 years, ruining their chemistry and salary cap space. The NBA, where idiotic negotiations happen.
