I can't understand why SI dropped Westbrook. Because Rose plays on a better team and in a weaker conference (except of course the top 3 teams in the East)? I know that Rose is in a small company because he was picked first and teams who pick first are rarely good enough to sniff the playoffs, but Chicago was an under-performing team last year who got lucky in the lottery. What Westbrook has done w/o our superstars has been incredible and certainly doesn't deserve a drop in the rankings.

Good find, joey. I've been down on Westbrook all year for his shooting, but it does help to know that he's going to be getting us extra possessions in his own way.

If you're an ESPN Insider check out Eric Neel's analysis of Russell Westbrook:

http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/insider/news/story?id=3970256

If you're not, he basically says Westbrook is in unbelievable company in terms of rebounding efficiency (we're talking all time greats for a guard) and how his athleticism and nose for the glass has transformed the games of other Thunder players.
