Not only am I extremely happy for OK city having their own team(i remember when the hornets went toOK city after Katrina and how awesome the fans were and how well they treated the visiting team, but I am THRILLED that russell westbrook landed there, where he can get theminutesto develop. For my money, his development over the next few yearswill be somuch more fun to watch than drose, beasley, any rookie from this draft or the last for that matter, just because of his desire. You'll get to see it night in,night out, watching him play harder than most dudes in the league, and with unlimited, unlimited potential. It's been a struggle for scouts to compare him to anyone, and the reason is i think heshis own brand of do it all player. Sorry to go off on it, but this kid excites me more than almost any otherplayer right now, andI'm thrilled about the next few years ofhim, and I'm a Boston fan relocated to Philly!

Good luck OK city, you guys deserve the good stuff to come.

All quiet on the western front, I see...

With the All-Star break here and the next game nearly a week away, I thought I'd indulge in a bit of fantasy. Let's look at the remainder of the schedule and what could happen. So I rigged up my own win/loss guesses for the rest of the season. I've tried to balance between optimism and realism (though I think optimism likely won out).

Results (i.e. pure speculation) follows in the next post. Items with an exclamation point next to them (!) represent what I think might be controversial picks where some would say "no way!"

Yeah, Henry Abbott mentioned it today and like he said, some power forward (good ones too) go their entire career without getting that many. Really incredible stat.

Yep, it's good now.

Just read a stat that I had forgotten from last night. Russell Westbrook got 8 offensive rebounds last night. EIGHT OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS!!!

Yes, I'm talkin' about Westbrook - you know, that "little" 6'3" guy. That is totally friggin amazing.

Krstic should bow his head in shame when he reads that stat.
