@Royce Royce,you nailed what bothers me most about the situation. I still have much love for the Hornets and Tyson Chandler. I can't wish them ill, but I also can't stand the thought of the Thunder passing on TC and what might have been UNLESS he winds up in street clothes for a good part of the next two years. I think the Basketawful analysis doesn't pass the smell test. Presti wants to build a winning team. That is his motivation and what will make him look good. Its not his money on the line after all. I just hope to God that the decision didn't come straight from Bennet, over-riding Presti's decision to pull the trigger on the trade, because BENNET didn't want to risk the money. That would be a very, very bad omen for the Thunders future prospects.

Yeah the more I think about the Tyson situation, the more I can’t help but worry about him putting up great numbers the next two years in NOLA. In a way, this almost makes us root against a player we all like.

And this bit from Jeremy at Roundball Mining Co. about made me cry.
“Oklahoma City did manage to add a nice piece in Thabo Sefolosha. He is a defensive oriented swingman with great size and solid potential. If they only had hung onto Chandler they might have had the foundation in place for a 50 win team in Westbrook, Sefolosha, Durant, Green and Chandler.”

I know it’s all water under the bridge, but is anyone really sure that Tyson even needs that toe anyway? Let’s donate that toe to science. Is the medical diagnosis for a guy with a missing toe that much worse than a guy with a turf toe? I’m sure he’s missing some wisdom teeth too. I bet they forgot to check that! Let’s take Tyson, subtract his one inch toe for science’ sake, and use the remaining seven feet of him to dominate the paint.

Yes, I realize I’m in the wrong profession. Believe my I try, but teams won’t hire you as medical evaluator unless you have this fancy little thing they call a “medical degree”. Whatever.

Thabs is looking good, from everything that I’m reading. Wished I knew if he’s playing tonight (or either road game) – probably not.
