Other people have the 90-50-40 concept, which is much tougher to accomplish than simply adding the three up to 180. Only a handful of players have ever accomplished that. Bird, Reggie Miller, Mark Price, and Nowitzki during his MVP year 2 years ago (in case you were wondering why he won it, that's probably why). Ray Allen is currently doing it, but this is the first year his overall FG% has been over 50%.

Coming out of college, Durant said his game was closest to Dirk's. But it's that weird thing where people can't compare a black guy's game to a white guy's game without a system malfunction. So everyone assumed his game was going to be like Carmelo Anthony's.

Durant was always going to be a slightly more athletic Dirk.

The other thin to point out about those 3PT attempts is you have to look at them by the month of the season. Durant was throwing up a ton of threes early last year and basically stopped shooting them halfway through the year, which lowered his overall per game averages.

It's not a new idea. Back in the day with the Sonics, Brent Barry was there in a couple of years. He finished 01 and 02 with 178. At times in those seasons he was over. I remember Kevin Calabro talking about it. Hornacek was another guy who shot like that.

Rarely will you see a guy who gets a lot of shots hit that number. It is usually somebody who is somewhat selective in their shots and don't waste them. Iverson will never make it :O)

Very interesting! I still hope for KD to become an even more consistent at the FT line... I feel like he is leaving some out there.
